Today's DAILY WALK WITH GOD (The DWWG)

Text: *Romans 1:22-25*

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

MESSAGE: "IDOL WORSHIP": THE DANGEROUS RELIGIOUS SIN! Part One

A. Any Bible student, may have studied about the coming wrath of God. God is angry because we have become children of disobedience. Col 3:6. But one annoying thing that offends God is the way we want to belittle Him to a creature, or give the glory He deserves to things He has created. 

Idol Worship is the worship of creatures in the form of a physical image, such as a statue or icon. This has become a serious problem in our time. Satan has been modified idolatry and disguised it such that people are unaware of what they are doing. 

B. In modern times pastors have been selling calendars, wristbands, stickers, necklaces, etc to their followers and they have placed all their trust in such things. Unfortunately, they are ignorant about them. They see themselves as serious Christians yet they are actually worshipping idol. There are churches which bow to imagery, like the photo of the famous Passion of Christ star( James Patrick "Jim" Caviezel ), moulded Mary (veneration of Mary, mother of Jesus), anointing oils, and other concoctions. Others use the printed Scriptures (Bible) as their protectors etc. Millions of people call themselves Christians but they are actually idol worshippers. Take time and read *Isaiah 44:13-20*

C. Just like Aaron, leaders in Christian religion have led people astray. *(Exodus 32:1-24)*

Look at how Aaron lied to Moses: *Compare vs 3&4 to 24*

3 So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

24 And I said to them, ‘Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I cast it into the fire, and this calf came out.”

This is what today's Preachers (aka pastors) are doing. They are deceiving people and leading them into fire. Yet most of the people are blind. But that is not an excuse, if a blind man leads another, they. .... *Matt 15:13-14*

Do you have trust in some physical items and believe that God's power is in those things? If yes, then you are on the wrong path. Follow the steps to salvation and get saved today. 

STEPS TO SALVATION:

*HEAR:* Listen to the Gospel message about the Death, Burial and the Resurrection of Jesus (1 Cor 15:1-4, Luke 24:44-48). 

*BELIEVE*: You have to Believe that indeed Jesus died for you. (John 8:24), 

*REPENTANCE:* Repent from your sins and turn to Jesus (Acts 3:19), 

*CONFESSION*: Confess Jesus as the Son of God (Acts 8:37), and 

*BE BAPTISED:* Allow for Baptism and wash away your sins. (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15), and Jesus will add you to the Church (the Kingdom of God) Acts 2:47.
